Washing Instructions
Wash using cold or warm water with a mild laundry soap (ecological, biodegradable types preferred) and drying on the line is the best way to clean and maintain a Sublimated FX product.
To remove stains, dirt or grease from your garment, dampen the stain and rub in dishwashing detergent or a safe pre-treatment cleaning fluid (no bleach, if in doubt test a small corner inside) both of which you can find at your local supermarket. Then hand wash the garment in warm water with plenty of mild laundry soap.
To remove chewing gum or tree sap from your garment, first freeze the affected are with some ice, then use a dull butter knife to scrape off as much as you can. Next, soak the garment in a water/white-vinegar solution, and throw it into the laundry with warm water and detergent.
Regarding Bleach and Fabric Softener
Some performance garments on the market are originally treated with a moisture management coating, which helps to break down the surface tension and distribute moisture quickly throughout the garment.
Needless to say, the moisture management abilities are soon washed out!
Sublimated FX garments do not require this as the moisture management comes from the method of manufacture that cannot be washed off. However, we recommend that you do NOT use fabric softeners on our garments as the chemicals involved can apply a coating to the fabric that although softening can significantly diminish its performance.
DO NOT USE BLEACH!
Sublimated FX accepts no responsiblity for any garment damage caused by the use of BLEACH on any of our products.
Drying / Tumble Drying Instructions

As there are many types of Sublimated FX garments, our general recommendation from an environmental stand-point and a wash-care stand-point is to dry all of them on a line or clothes airer. For any of our synthetic-based performance garments, we insist that you do NOT put them into a dryer. Synthetics like polyester are prone to shrinkage and permanent damage at high temperatures. Garments to which vinyl customisation such as numbers and names have been applied cannot be placed into the dryer and must be dried on a washing line or clothes airer.
Vinyl names or numbers on a performance garment will adhere for the life of the garment. Should you find your vinyl names or numbers on a performance garment no longer adhering due to having been placed in the dryer, you can simply iron the number with light pressure through grease-proof or silicon paper at the highest iron setting suitable for cottons and without steam.
For our range of lifestyle and team-wear cottons we recommend using the washing line. However, these can be dried on a low temperature setting. Please see the wash care instructions specific to the garment.
Sublimated FX accepts no responsiblity for any garment damage caused by the use of a dryer on any of our products.
Ironing
Sublimated FX does not recommend ironing any of our performance garments. If ironing is required, we advise that the garment be ironed inside-out to avoid contact between the surface of the iron and any customisation (printing, numbering, etc) of any kind that has been applied.
Dry-Cleaning
Do not Dry Clean any of our productss printed with the sublimation method.
Sublimated FX accepts no responsiblity for any garment damage caused by the use of a dryer on any of our products.
Avoid Abrasives Like Velcro
Due to the highly technical and specialised manufacturing methods used to manufacture moisture management fabrics, you do need to be a little more aware of rough or abrasive surfaces. These specially made synthetic fabrics use delicate man made fibres to be able to work their magic. As a result, contavt with abrasive surfaces can result in pilling, runs and 'pulls' in the fabric.
Materials like Velcro which are common to many rucksacks, gym bags, shoes (and even some of our garments) can be particularly damaging to these fabrics.
Please avoid contact between our garments and abrasive surfaces. Do not wash any of our sublimated garments in the same load as a garment that uses Velcro on any part of its composition.
Remember, like an expensive sports car, you have to treat it carefully to look after it. If you do, you will enjoy years of use from our garments.
FLAMMABILITY WARNING
Like most synthetics, our garments fabrics will melt or burn if exposed to flame or direct heat. They are not flame resistant; do not use them near ANY direct source of heat or flame.
Anti-Static / Anti-Odour Properties
Some anti-odour (also known as anti-bacterial and anti-microbial) treated garments have a limited life-span of a set number of washes. Our treatment employs an ionic silver salt that bonds directly to the fibers of the fabric to inhibit the growth of micro-organisms that create odour. This bond does not wash out. Silver is a heavy metal and as such Sublimated FX have worked with our fabric manufacturer to independently test our fabric to maintain 99.99 percent effectiveness for the lifespan of the garment, no only to ensure customer satisfaction but also to guarantee that no silver leeches out of the garment into environmental waste systems.
